Carrefour de liaison et d’aide multiethnique (CLAM)

Organisation profile

CLAM’s primary mission is to develop projects and activities promoting the settlement and socio-economic integration of immigrants. In this regard, its key mandates cover the development of services and programs aimed at promoting the integration of newcomers and immigrants in their new environment as well as to make the Québec public more aware of the reality of ethnocutural communities.

In connection with its mission, CLAM is involved in many areas of activity, including:
• greeting newcomers and meeting their immediate needs;
• supporting and guiding newcomers and immigrants in seeking and using the resources provided by their environment;
• developing local initiatives aimed at better integrating immigrant client groups;
• promoting the development and implementation of policies that support services suited to the realities of newcomers and immigrants in areas such as employment, education, health and social services.
