Services

● Citizen Mediation : Created in 2010, this free and confidential service is offered by volunteer mediators who have been trained by Trajet. It is intended for people who are struggling to deal with a conflict and who want to actively participate in finding a solution. These conflicts are varied in nature and include neighbour relations, cleanliness, noise problems, and verbal and physical altercations, among others. To contact our mediation service, call us and leave a message. A mediator will return your call as soon as possible. Available free of charge.

● Training and information workshops on implementation of a conflict resolution service in a community setting (citizen mediation program). Available free of charge. Phone for details.

● Legal information group workshops on the Youth Criminal Justice Act, intended for organizations. Available free of charge. Possibility of travel to organizations. Phone for details.

● Community service is one of the measures provided by the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), which aims to promote the rehabilitation and reintegration of young offenders as well as the reparation of the harm caused to the victim and the community. These measures are intended to offer positive perspectives to youths and to reinforce their respect for societal values. At Trajet, we believe that youths are able to directly or symbolically repair the harm caused by their actions. We also believe that they must be offered the chance to make up for their mistakes and to show that they are capable of making positive contributions. Our team of Youth Alternative Justice (YAJ) workers is tasked with supporting youths in completing their measures. Once their file has been opened, a YAJ worker from Trajet will arrange a meeting with the youth to coordinate their measure. Service provided in person by appointment and by appointment online.

● Legal information available on their website.
