Community organization whose primary mission is the collective defence of mental-health rights, together with an assistance and guidance mandate.
Services
Legal information, court guidance and lawyer referral service. For people experiencing a mental health disorder and their family and friends.
The organization also provides information on the various disability plans and other aspects involving individuals whose mental state is affected.
A rights-defence advisor at RAIDDAT does not play the role of a lawyer. She provides guidance and simplifies vocabulary so that a person can easily understand the legal language and the possible recourses. The advisor explains the approaches and their various processes, and she provides information on the different fees. Also, she directs the person to the right professional to continue the defence of his or her rights, if applicable.
Available free of charge. Service provided in person with or without an appointment.
