Éducaloi

Organisation profile

Éducaloi is a registered charity that was founded in 2000. It is a leader in the movement to improve access to justice in Quebec.  The core of our mission is explaining the law to Quebecers in everyday language.

Services

● Simplified legal information product presented on a website accessible free of charge in both French and English. Each year, more than four million Quebecers go to the website to gain a better understanding of their rights and obligations on topics affecting various aspects of everyday life.

● Becoming an engaged citizen takes not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills and certain attitudes. This is why Éducaloi offers to educators free resources and activities to help them talk about the law with students such as :

  • High school workshops where a legal professional can visit your class free of charge to run an introductory law workshop.
  • High school teaching guide that help you speak to your students about the law and our court system.

● Éducaloi helps a wide range of organizations create plain language legal information tools and legal education projects. Organizations that want to make their information more accessible to the public, or to create legal education materials, can call on Éducaloi’s services at various stages of their projects.
