Association for the Rights of Household Workers
Organisation profile
The Association for the Rights of Household Workers (ADDPD/ARHW) is a non-profit community organization whose mission is to ensure that the work done in private households is recognized, respected and valued. Through research, training and policy interventions, the ARHW supports the rights of household workers in Quebec and in Canada.
Canada relies heavily on (im)migrant workers to perform work in private households, therefore the ARHW believes that securing fair and decent work conditions for household workers cannot be achieved without deep-seated reforms to Canada’s immigration policies and regulations.
Services
Through education, research, and legal/political advocacy initiatives, the ARHW fights for fair and decent work conditions for all household workers in Quebec and across Canada.
