The Centre d’assistance et d’accompagnement aux plaintes de l’Île de Montréal is a community organization mandated by the Health and Social Services Minister, following consultation with the Health and Social Services agencies, to assist and support, upon request, users wishing to lay a complaint against a Health and Social Services network institution, against a Council of Physicians, Dentists and Pharmacists (CPDP), against the Agency of the Health and Social Services or against the Quebec Ombudsman (Protecteur du citoyen).

Services

● “Complaint assistance and support:” information service on the Act Respecting Health Services and Social Services and on possible recourses. Help in drafting complaints and letters, guidance, support and referrals. For users of the public healthcare and social services system on the Island of Montréal. Available free of charge. Service provided by phone and in person by appointment.

● Group information sessions on users’ rights, the complaints procedure and the CAAP’s services. Available free of charge. Possibility of travel to organizations. Phone for details.
