Services

WELCOME AND SUPPORT FOR TENANTS: The CAPE provides information and support to residents of the Park Extension district on all matters involving tenants’ and landlords’ rights and obligations. Individual meetings at the office or by phone. The organization also provides assistance in writing applications, housing visits and support at the Régie du logement.

INFORMATION WORKSHOPS: The CAPE provides information workshops on various housing-related topics for the community and local organizations. These workshops aim to inform participants on housing law and their recourses, the available services and the rules to be followed to defend themselves and improve their housing conditions.

INFORMATION CAMPAIGNS: The CAPE runs information campaigns to let tenants in the area know about their rights and recourses so as to avoid abuses at certain times, such as rent increase and lease renewal periods, the heating season, etc. We also set up information tables in neighbourhood parks during the summer.
