Innocence McGill is a legal clinic based at McGill University’s Faculty of Law and dedicated to researching and investigating claims of wrongful conviction for serious crimes in Quebec. Founded in 2005, we are a student-led and student-run organization with oversight by our supervising lawyer (a criminal defence attorney in Montreal) and our Faculty Advisor.

Services

● Legal information service, research and investigation into allegations of judicial errors involving serious crimes in Québec. The mandate of Innocence McGill is to address, in a systematic manner, claims of wrongful convictions in Quebec. Innocence McGill seeks to provide assistance to persons claiming to have been wrongfully convicted of serious crimes in Quebec. Available free of charge.
