Organisation profile

A private non-profit organization that operates as a cross-disciplinary group with voluntary membership. The IMAQ is run independently under the guidance of a board of directors consisting of members.

This is the main Québec body grouping qualified impartial third parties from varied professional backgrounds who serve as mediators or arbitrators. The IMAQ is devoted to the development and extensive use of dispute prevention and settlement methods. At its core, its mission is focused on the promotion and development of participatory justice such as mediation, arbitration and other methods of alternative dispute resolution.
