Non-profit organization whose mission is getting people involved in the management of offences, disputes and conflicts to play as active a role as possible in the settlement process, in keeping with the rights and dignity of each person.
Services
● “Citizen mediation:” service for help managing disputes, provided by meditators trained in neighbourhood, interpersonal and community disputes, other than family mediation. Available free of charge. Get in touch by phone (450 347-0065) or e-mail (mediation@jahr.ca) for an appointment.
● “School mediation:” guidance service for organizations, training and information workshops on instituting a dispute resolution service in a school setting. For elementary and high schools, students and staff. Fees vary by the type of request. Phone for details.
● Legal information workshops for groups on the Youth Criminal Justice Act, for Grade 6 students. Provided to elementary schools. Available free of charge. Phone for details.
● Enforcement of measures under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, guidance and support for youths in their victim and community redress procedure. For people involved in an offence committed by a juvenile under the terms of this Act. Available free of charge. By referral only.
