Movement-Against Rape and Incest
Organisation profile
The MCVI (movement against rape and incest) is a help centre fighting sexual assault that welcomes women and girls who have been victims of sexual violence. Regardless of whether an assault was committed recently or many years earlier, each woman will find in the MCVI a climate of respect and confidentiality.
The MCVI has also developed expertise in supporting immigrant women, asylum-seekers and women with an irregular status who have been victims of sexual violence. The MCVI ensures respect for their rights and offers strategies for optimizing their chances of obtaining status.
Services
Assistance and support services are provided based on a feminist, cross-cultural approach such as listening by phone, emergency meetings, individual or group follow-ups, support for mothers, support for various legal steps (complaints, compensation, asylum or humanitarian applications) and theme coffee meetings.
The MCVI also engages in awareness-raising and popular education to prevent sexual violence and to break taboos. The organization is also highly involved in defending the rights of women, minorities, immigrants, people with irregular status and people who are vulnerable or belong to a marginalized group.
These services are provided free of charge, in person by appointment. Phone or e-mail the organization for an appointment.
