An organization that serves as a last resort to ensure that citizens’ municipal rights are respected and that their files and applications are treated with respect, justice and fairness by all City of Montréal municipal entities.
Services
● Handling of complaints from persons who believe they have been wronged by a decision, action or omission by the City of Montréal, including para-municipal corporations and agents of the City. The ombudsman can investigate a situation that is the subject of a complaint and determine whether, in his or her view, the citizen faces an actual prejudice. If so, the ombudsman intervenes with the City to have the decision altered or the situation corrected. Service available free of charge. The complaint form can be found on their website.
