Organisation profile

A member of the Regroupement des organismes de justice alternative du Québec, this organization’s mission is concerned mainly with developing and maintaining a different practice in justice and dispute management. While the involvement of citizens interested in justice is encouraged, the focus is on the active participation of people in the situations that involve them.

Services

● “Citizen mediation:” conflict resolution provided by trained mediators in neighbourhood, interpersonal or community disputes, other than family mediation. Available free of charge. Service provided in person by appointment.

● Restorative justice approach provided to people who have felt the impacts of a criminal event and who seek support in a non-judicial framework. Available free of charge. Service provided by appointment.

● Support for organizations, training and information workshops on conflict management and mediation in community and school settings. Fees charged. Phone for détails.

● In the context of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, guidance and support for victims and for youths who are fulfilling reparations to victims or the community. For people involved in an offence committed by a juvenile under the terms of this Act. Available free of charge. By referral only
