Organisation profile

The Centre d’assistance et d’accompagnement aux plaintes des Laurentides (CAAP) is a community organization mandated by the Health and Social Services Minister, following consultation with the Health and Social Services agencies, to assist and support, upon request, users wishing to lay a complaint against a Health and Social Services network institution, against a Council of Physicians, Dentists and Pharmacists (CPDP), against the Agency of the Health and Social Services or against the Quebec Ombudsman (Protecteur du citoyen).

Services

● “Assistance and support in complaints:” legal information service on the Act Respecting Health Services and Social Services, as well as possible recourses. Assistance in drafting complaints and letters, guidance, support and referrals. For users of the public health and social services system in the Eastern Townships. Available free of charge. Service provided by phone and in person by appointment.

● Legal information group sessions on users’ rights and the complaints procedure. Available free of charge. Possibility of travel to organizations. Phone for details.
